So I am led to believe - Someone hear (Brian Bushay maybe?) said
something along those lines a while back.
FWIW, I have Corel Pdox 9 on my machine and use it quite often for
looking at tables or structures, or even restructuring. The apps that
use the data don't seem to have a problem with accessing them via BDE
5.01. In fact I am sure I have seen the format described on a drop
down list as Paradox 7, 8, or 9.

Again, one of the TeamB'ers posted something to the effect that
Borland still have control on the file format, Corel effectively
control the interface.

That would seem to be a reasonable assumption. But I suspect there
will be moves away from BDE ultimately - D5 has IB and ADO direct
connectivity tools so maybe this is the face of the future.

Corel took over Pdox ages ago, not sure exactly when, but I'd say 3
years ago or so. Hasn't affected D4, D5 has it?
Personally I reckon Pdox and Access from a Delphi point of view are
really well supported in this ng and various resources on the net.
Done, seeing as you asked nicely <G>
