Please post if you've installed SP2 already, whichever option is
applicable:
Delphi version(s) - status?
Delphi WebBroker - status?
Delphi debugging - status?
Using BDE - status?
SQL Server - status?
Any Delphi or Delphi-built projects - status?
I haven't personally installed it yet. Just trying to collect some
data. Thanks in advance.

Re:Share your XP SP2 experience

* I run Delphi 7 and 8 without any problems. Even with the pre-release of
SP2 RC2.
* BDE seems to run okay.
* Nothing wrong with debugging.
Microsoft says that SP2 has some improvements of detecting Spyware.
Well I wrote a little spyware application and it seems that SP2 did not
detected it at all.
The only thing is that McAfee (OEM version) is not working without any
problems.

not working? sounds like you meant 'is working without any problems'

Re:Share your XP SP2 experience

No, what I mean is that it messes up the LAN connection.
So it doesn't work.

Re:Share your XP SP2 experience

Well, here is my experience. Downloaded SP2 from MS's site last
night. Installed it. Now my machine won't boot except in safe mode.

I also uninstalled SP2 (thanks god, I could boot up), after StyleXP (to
customise one's Windows environment) and EndNote (a reference manager, for
those of us who have to write papers, grants, etc.) stopped working. Rather
frustrating.
On the other hand, the app I am developing works fine, so all is not bad...

Check your machine for spyware/adware - this is the major reason SP2
sometimes cannot boot.

Re:Share your XP SP2 experience

I ran the usual duo of Spybot S&D and AdAware before upgrading. I
also run them regularly, as well as Norton AV.

Re:Share your XP SP2 experience

I got problems accessing the same table from two different applications
using BDE. Got "Unable to load driver" error in the second app.
It's not beta SP2. it is the RTM SP2. Searched newsgroups and apparently
they said it was already fixed and I don't think so. Any solutions?

Sounds like the new security feature of WinXP. :)
