Reason to use BDE 4.51

At work I use ODBC drivers to transfer data from an Ingres database
running on a VAX to a local database. With BDE 4.00 I got the error when
opening for reading or writing a table on the VAX. 4.51 cured this. The
error btw was username is longer than sqlgetinfo.max_user_name_len (0).
The ODBC drivers were CAs Openroad ODBC 1.2
