Recruiter: Sr. Pre-Sales Eng. for technical sales support

This is a senior level position; employees at this level have advanced
knowledge of company products. Under minimum supervision, provides
customers and salespeople with in-depth technical product assistance
during pre-sales discussions. May provide installation support,
training, or post-sale consultation. Successful candidate works in a
team with the Regional Sales Manager and local Telemarketing
Representative.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Performs technical support activities in support of sale of
company's products or services (60%).

       Manages technical review/and or evaluation of company's  
       products by prospects.
       Performs demos and presentations
       Builds custom demo's or prototypes for prospects.
       Answers questions of the potential customer.
       Conducts basic product education for presales evaluation.

2. Maintains an advanced technical understanding of products (20%).
3. Performs post-sale technical support duties, including installation

    and training (10%).
4. Assists prospects in resolving highly technical problems (10%).

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Education & Training:
4 year degree in Computer Science or technical or engineering field.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
Thorough knowledge of all areas of business operations. Able to
resolve pre-sales technical problems, working with field sales
personnel. Ability to present technical concepts in clear manner to
customers through demos and proposals. Excellent writing, editing,
communication and interpersonal skills required. Proficient PC skills.
Programming experience a plus.

Type Equipment Used:
PC and various software languages used as required. Heavy telephone
usage.

Work Experience:
Four to seven years experience in Technical Sales Support environment.
