Is there a subsitute for the TTabel property RecNo

Hi,

I am creating a database app with Delphi 3.1 and Access 97.
In one of the tabels I have added a calculated field (RowNumber)
and in that field I want to place the recordnumbers.

The result I get from TTabel1.RecNo after the OnCalcFields event is
always '-1' (as is stated in the help file)

I could use a loop and a counter to place the recordnumbers in the
entire table manualy,
but if the table gets to large it would take ages.

Does anybody know how to solve this problem?
