Extended keys with keybd_event?

hi!

i am proud that i managed to send simple keystrokes to other applications,
but how do i send extended keys like ctrl-f or so to another application?

is there a simple way maybe without keybd_event?

thanks for any help

Re:Extended keys with keybd_event?

Control keys are translated in to zero based values of the letters -
example: Ctrl-A is 1, Ctrl-Z is 26.  Try sending this value as the wParam
of your message.

For alt keys etc, set the alt key bit in the long parameter (bit 29), as in

SendMessage(hSomeWindow, WM_CHAR, Word(Ord('f')), 1 shl 29);
