I grabbed that some time ago..  A GREAT package, just does not appear to
do everything I need.

The only IP providers that I am familar with, require that when you
complete your modem connection you start a PPP session, and then via PAP or
CHAP authentication send your user name and password.

I could be completly off base here.. but.. I was under the impresssion
that the sending of this "user_name and password" was via PAP or CHAP
authentication.

Jonathan's Internet Suite..{good job Jonathan} requires that you dial the
IP Provider and log in prior to starting the PPP Session. {at least that is
what it appears from the docs, and source}.  So I was hoping for something that
would have the PAP or CHAP authentication built into it.

As you can tell, I know absolutely nothing about the technical end of what
I am talking about.  It is just using Netscape and other browsers, you do not
neccessarily for all applications have to create a script.

Thanks for replying...perhaps someone can help me with my predicament.

I may be mistaken, but I thought I saw facilities for dialing a modem in
Jonathan's package. If so, logging in would be trivial, and I'm sure
Jonathan needed to do it anyway to test his software.

I am too busy on another project right now to work on it, but as soon as
it is finished, that comes next. Then I would be able to answer this
question a bit more intelligently.

But I'd check again - knowing Jonathan and how thorough he is, it's got
to be in there somewhere!
