transferring data from text file to access 2000 database

I want my app to transfer data to an acess 2000 database from a text file.
The text file is in ascii format, and I have no problem reading from the
text file. I also have a working ado connection. How do I create a new
record in the table and write values into the fields, saving it when
complete?
