Why is there a question on smoking? Is this being done for the

Hi Phil:

That question, along with many of the other standard demographics questions
(male/female, age, marraige, etc.) are simply to see trends.  The kind of
information that we may find interesting from that question is "Do Delphi
developers smoke more/less than the population as a whole?".  My personal
observation has been that most of the programmers I know do not smoke. I
felt it would be an interesting question.

This survey is being sponsored by my company. I performed a Delphi
Developers survey about four months ago and it was quite popular with
developers. WebSurveyor (the tool we build and the one used for the survey)
is written in Delphi. While performing this survey does raise some awareness
to my product, it's mainly to provide the Delphi community feedback on the
community itself.  I've used the newsgroups extensively over the past 3
years; it is my ONLY means of support for Delphi and it has come through for
me incredibly well.  If this helps make that community stronger than it is
successful.
