Hi,
a few days ago my Delphi 5.0 was working fine, now it suddenly reports
"vcl50.bpl could not be found in the specified path" when I run
delphi32.exe. Needless to say, Delphi doesn't start afterwards.

I've searched my disk for "vcl50*" and all I have is Vcl50.dcp. I wonder
where did that bpl go? I am sure I had it someday, and I am 100% positive I
didn't delete it on purpose.

Can anyone assist me with any other advice than "Reinstall Delphi"? I know
this would solve it, but I don't want that, with my IDE all modified and a
zillion components installed.

Well, how about grabbing the file from your most recent
backup?  You do make backups, don't you?

Or, go to your Delphi CD and, I believe under "RunImage"
or something similar, you should have all the expanded
files that are part of the installation.

I don't make backup of the windows system dir, though. I took it from my CD.
