Can someone point me in the direction of some documentation on loading the
BDE from a Server.  A few years back I found it but am unable to now....

It is possible to install the BDE once on a file server, then use it from
the connected workstations without actually having to install the BDE files
on each workstation. Essentially, you install the BDE once in its entirety
on the file server, and then you create the necessary registry entries on
the workstations that point to the server as the location of the required
BDE files. This sample application from Borland shows how to do this:
