Indy sucks :( *Warning* this is a rant..

Why? As far as the stack is concerned they are nearly identical. NO
sacrifices were made in Indy to compensate Windows OR Linux.

It doesnt, and neither does Kylix.

Respectfully, it sounds like you dont really have any first hand knowledge
of Kylix. And if this is true, noone who does have such knowledge would not
be permitted to give you information. So are you working on assumptions or
first hand knowledge?

Kylix is if anything, SIMPLER than Winshoes. Yes, it does contain MORE
protocols, but the base stuff is simpler and much better organized than
Winshoes 7.

Yes, we stated that in our release. It mentioned that the docs were merely
a shell and that a major doc effort was under way as part of Phase 2.

Still, there are more docs with Indy than Winshoes 7 had, even in their
nearly empty form.

Actually Linux only affects TWO files. IdGlobals and the stack interface.

Give specific examples please. It sounds more like it is just the changes
and lack of docs that are causing you troubles, and not Indy's
"simplicity".

you have stated this at least 3 times now, please provide examples.

Again, give concrete examples. Which renames?

Which functions were eliminated?

If funcitons are missing it is likely tehy were renamed, moved to a
different base class, or in a rare case depreicated. The buffer functions
also existed in Winshoes 7, and are not replacements.

Please do not jump hastiliy to conclusions, especially about a beta.
