Anyone know of any components or code or just some info  on how to access
the lpt port via Delphi 3?

Look at the hrlp file on the PRINTER unit.--

What hrlp file? Is it the printers.pas you are thinking about? If so I
didn't get any help there.. it only covers the TPrinter class, (wich I have
no attention to use cause I'm not going to print anything...)

Edgar,

look http://www.strongsoftware.net/tvicport for TVicPort/TVicLPT.
It works for Delphi 2/3 under W95 and NT.

Victor Ishkeev's components seem to have this sorted pretty thoroughly. If
you're using D1 there's a freeware component called LPTCTRL which gives
everything you could need. The D2/3 components are trialware, but not
pricey.

I downloaded the D1 component from the Delphi Super Page last year. If it's
no longer there I can send you a zip. Victor's website was noted in someone
else's reply to your query.
