BDEADMIN.EXE CAN NOT BE EXECUTED

Hi,

Win98 + BDE 5.0

When my ERP application installed(Client), bde 5.0 auto installed.
but when i run BDEADMIN.EXE, my computer halt.

I changed this harddisk to another computer, BDEADMIN.EXE works well.
it seems to HARDWARE no good, but i have another harddisk, BDEADMIN.EXE
works well in any computer.

Any idea(s)?????????

Thanks,

Terry Tse

Re:BDEADMIN.EXE CAN NOT BE EXECUTED

There is a known issue with Win98 that stops all BDE applications from
running if the computer's video display settings are set to 256 colors
(8-bit).  Try increasing the video display settings to something like
16-bit, 24-bit, or 32-bit color depth and the problem should resolve.

Re:BDEADMIN.EXE CAN NOT BE EXECUTED

Make sure the display is set for 256 or more colors. This is a long standing
bug in Win98.

AFAIK the problem only occurs when the display is set to 16 color mode. 256
or higher should work.
