This is good

What's in a report writer?
Excellent Backup service (3 hours responce time)
Ease of use?

Does anybody have anything on the contrary to say about Seaget Crystal
Reports V6.
I found it to be fantastic.

Re:This is good

Crystal Reports is a pretty diverse and powerful product but...

1.  It has a 5 meg distribution footprint
2.  It doesn't even come close to supporting rich text.

You should check out Piparti Pro. It is the most powerful, professional
and easy to use report tooling available - and it's all native Delphi!.
There is a major new version, 3.0 out now that was just released about
one month ago.

Piparti Pro has full support for Rich text (RichText and DBRichText).
Like other stretchable objects in Piparti, you can even stack one on top
another and by defining StetchRelativeTo relationships between them,
have dynamically changing layouts without writing any code.

The press release for Piparti Pro is available at

http://digital-metaphors.com/news01.html

You can download a trial version from:

http://digital-metaphors.com/prodprodemo1.html

Ordering info is available at

https://secure.unicomp.net/digital-metaphors/

With the trial version you can create reports just as you would with the
registered version, the only limitations are max of 5 pages of output
for any report and if you print to the printer, our company info will
print on the page also.

For a quick look at what Piparti Pro is capable of run the demos:

1. Piparti Pro\Demos\Reports\Demo.dpr - contains over 50 sample reports
that show the various cabalities of the product. Serves as a great
learning tool also.

2. Piparti Pro\Demos\EndUser\EndUser.dpr - contains a complete,
professional end-user reporting solution built using our End-User
Reporting Framework.

Cheers,
