Native Access driver slower that using ODBC

Hi,

Does anyone know why the BDE native driver for MSACCESS97 is slower than
using the ODBC route ?

TIA

Re:Native Access driver slower that using ODBC

I imagine it's because the BDE is a cumbersome and complex layer between the
application and the database engine.

In my opinion if top performance with DAO (Access) databases from Delphi is
the objective, opt for a BDE replacement. The performance gain is immediate
and glaringly obvious.
