Help Me Find Good Modem Routines.

I have been trying to find a good set of modem routines.  I've looked
on garbo, simtel, and in swag and everything seems to be soo old.  I
am looking for a good set of routines that include the 16550 FIFO.  I
am writing a bbs program.  If anyone has some good routines please
feel free to mail them to me or if anyone has any suggestions please
leave me mail as well.  Thanks in advance.
