How to open a table in a read-only-directory

Hallo,
my application runs in a netware-environment. Some users have
read-only-rights in the data-directory. It is impossible for them to
open a table or only a query that is based in this directory, because
the bde wants to store the pdxusr.lck file just in the same directory!
The TI3104 describes a solution for the problem how to open a table on a
CD-ROM and I think, it's the same problem. But I don't know, how to
create a CD-Image or for my problem a table- or directory-image!

It is the same problem and the solution for the CD is to create a
readonly lock.  However this will give all users Readonly access.
There is no way to have mixed access like you want with Paradox
tables.
