When I try to install the BDE in a computer with Win95 I get
an installation error the error number is 3, an the text is "Merging
configuration
file failed IDAPI32.CNF

I do not know what is causing the error or if I need to fix some
parameter in
the OS.
I appreaciate a positive answer in order to fix the problem

Normally this errormessage come from an older Version of Installshield in
combination with the newer version of the BDE.
