Problem reading paradox table in MS Access 97

Title : Problem reading paradox table in MS Access 97

Hello,
we have MS Access 97 - Belgian (Dutch) and want to open a paradox 7 table.
Then, we get an error : "Incorrect Collating sequence".
Microsoft says it has to do something with incorrect sort order (language is
different) and codepages, but does not tell us how to resolve it. Our
computers work with Windows NT 4.0 (UK), we tried to change the config.sys
and so, but it doesn't help.
What should we do to open this paradox table in Access 97 ?

As far as I know, MS-Access is still using the old Paradox-driver code
that they bought from a third-party vendor. It doesn't know about
anything other than us-ascii tables.

The table-language can be changed by restructuring within Paradox.
