Importing names and addresses into Outlook using ContactItem

Hi folks,

I've been using the ContactItem (from the Servers component tab in
Delphi 5) to import names and addresses into Outlook 2000 and it works
really well. However, there's a couple of points I can't find any info
about.

How would I use the ContactItem to search for a specific contact?
Can I search on any field from the contact record?
How can I avoid duplicate Contact records?

If anyone can help me with any of these, I will gladly buy them a pint
or send them an orange or whatever!

Many thanks for reading.

Ask in delphi.oleautomation and check this website:

Also consult the VBA documentation for Outlook, that is the primary
source of information about the Outlook object hierarchy.
