Database ERROR on new windows 95

Hi All,

I have installed the new release OEM R2 of windows 95 on my machine and the
machine of an employee.

We then reinstalled Delphi developer and when trying to open a databasefile
we only get an error (not in the database desktop, but form wizard or delphi
itself), BDE Error 9987 invalid filename and in a box to the right
[$27][$3].

The same problem on both this machines.

This new release of windows 95 use a new filesystem called FAT32 that
enables support for large disks + 32 bit filehandling...

If I open a file on another harddisk that are not formated by the new win95
and do use the old fat all is ok.

Delphi<-->win95 FAT32 do seam to have a problem...

Anyone sene it or have a cure??

TIA

Re:Database ERROR on new windows 95

The BDE can't handle FAT32 long file names.  Borland was supposed to get
something up on their web page a week ago, but it isn't there yet (Holidays
probably).  If you move your DB's off of the paths with long file names you'll
be allright.

I think the latest BDE from the Borland web site fixes this problem
