Communicating with graphic card

Hi to everyone,
Does anyone of you know how to communicate with a graphic accelirator?
I mean to get information about him, and to send commands to him, using
Turbo Pascal, or how to store pictures in its memory?
- Bye and thanks a lot,

This is the reason Windows has such specific video drivers for
particular cards.  Video acceleration involves a lot of low-level calls
that that are specific to a particular chipset.  Don't expect to be able
to write generalized code to support any accelerator.  The best you can
do is go to the chipset manufacturer, get the technical specifications,
and work with that.
