Help with InstallShield Express

Help with InstallShield Express

Well, hi guys!

I'm currently experiencing IS Express for Delphi, and wow it's cool,
but I cannot make my program folder be a true folder (and thus
appear as a submenu in the Start Menu), it always turns out to be
a shortcut to a folder being actually under the Install directory root...

Does anyone has an answer? And about the registry patch process,
I also cannot help my Default values being real default values...
They just duplicate in the registry key (two "Default" values!)

Any suggestion?

That is the way the Windows95 rules were set up. However that was changed
in both InstallShield 2.0 and 1.x Professional due to demand.

I always had this problem and I would be interested in a soution.

I quit using IS Express since early version in D2 that overwrote
the BDE config file removing all existing aliases. Everyone uses
IS and so I am happy to use something different. I now
use Eschalon Setup Pro from Eschalon Development. It costs
about $200 and is excellent. I think it also has better compression
that IS (but I never actually checked for sure).
