Couldn't perform the edit record because another user changed the record

Getting the Error message:
Couldn't perform the edit record because another user changed the record
Using D5(all D5 updates), IP2000.20, Access 2000 via ODBC, MDAC 2.5sp1
This is a Detail Table . Trying to edit the record, Master is already
saved.
Tried tables BeforeEdit event code, Refresh(no luck), Close and Open
table(No Luck).
Help.
