  Async Pro comes to mind immediately, but I'm a bit biased<g>  You can find
out some info about it and download the trial version from the TurboPower
web site (www.turbopower.com)

It depends a bit what you want to do.  If you to use the serial comms
fpr faxes, file transfers and other layered apps, then Async Pro
(tirobpower) is good, but not in-expensive.  If you want to send a few
bytes to a Bloggs Grotomatic Remote-o-sensor, and get a new bytes back,
all under you control, then see www.acsi.bc.ca for Tcomm, a lighter (and
cheaper) pack.
