Lucien Wischik has some free components that break down audio with FFT.

Re:help!!
I've got a bizarre problem. I just connected to the Internet with my
new PC (throuhg a modem) for the first time tonight. The problem? 10 seconds after I connect there's a stream of data being transmitted to the 'net. About 5 times the amount of data received. I've looked everywhere and disabled a bunch of services (Win 2000 Server) but to no avail. Does anyone know of a utility that can tell you what data is being transmitted. In the dozens of times I've configured Internet access I've never had this happen. Any suggestions? Thanks! sorry, but rules are rules.

I just connected to the Internet with my included a {*word*193} little proxy service..as an aside, the same incarnation included connection management software written in Delphi that doesn't work at all on Windows servers.. Few things to try.. Check your registry RUN keys for things that shouldn't be there, go to sysinternals.com and download Process Explorer and see what's piggy out on CPU time while your online and lastly, get the free version of ZoneAlarm..
