Difference ASP and ASP.net

When developping Active Server Objects with BCB do we have to care about the
platform (ASP or ASP.net) on which the ASO will be used?
I saw some differences in the ASP and ASP.net code on www.aspupload.com for
example. Are there any considerations to keep in mind when developping ASO's
concerning the above?
