TStatusBar Limitation

Does the TStatusBar have some display limitation that only allows up to
127 characters to be displayed?
I can enter simple text or in a panel and either way, the text entered
drops off after 127 characters. BCB 2006, XP

Yes. That limitation is imposed at the OS level, not the VCL level. The
limitation has been removed in Vista, but exists in all earlier versions.
If you want more characters, you will have to owner-draw the status panels
manually.
