I don't think that is what was happening here. Some people were making
big assumptions based on no data, but only on other assumptions. Others
read those as fact and based their opinions on it, etc. That is how
opinions here escalated, I think.

I may be wrong, but I believe that tomorrow's letter was also at least

I don't know if it is tomorrow, but I think that was indeed the fact. I
gave the Delphi example because that happened already. <g>

I hope I am wrong.
I do see opinions escalating on both sides of the argument, however. :)

And I agree, TeamB is chosen by TeamB, not by the users.
Perhaps. But in order to become a TeamB member in the first place,
individuals have to show that they can work well with the users and
understand them and what they are going through.

Particularly since the majority (if not all) of TeamB are users themselves.

That's like saying polititians are elected without any public voting because
they simply understand the people. Which we all know is {*word*99} in real life,
the polititians never think about the people, only themselves. Good thing
TeamB members are not polititians :-)

Correct. In order to become a TeamB member, you have to be a newsgroup
user first. All TeamB members came from the newsgroup participants.

John,
Rather than responding to a communication that you consider pointless,
would you be so kind as to respond to the query I posted yesterday
(10/15/03, at 8:35 AM) asking you two quick questions?
