To do what exactly? You can't compile VCL projects with it. It doesn't
know Borland's compiler extensions.

There are three tools that speed up the BCB compiler.
In order of appearance:
bcc32pch: (freeware)
andy.jgknet.de/cpp
TwineCompiler:
www.jomitech.com/
BuilderBooster:

Are you using precompiled headers at all? Used properly, that alone can
speed things up significantly.
Beyond that, there are third-party plugins available, such as bcc32pch
(andy.jgknet.de/cpp/), to address issues in BCB's compiler to speed
it up, sometimes significantly.

and more understandable error explanation...
What is wrong with the existing error messages? Please provide an example.
Unless you are compiling a straight C/C++ project with no Borland
libraries/frameworks/extensions at all, then using another compiler won't
help you in that regard.

As long as your code does not depend on any Borland extension like
__property, __fastcall or virtual constructors it is possible. Note
that immediately rules out all code using the VCL.
You cannot mix compilers in the same project though - i.e. you cannot
compile a .lib file with Intel and link it into a Borland project. We
solved this problem by compiling DLLs with Intel, and dynamically
loading them in BCB. We use Intel to compile a lot of our numerically
intensive code, such as vehicle modelling.

Almost certainly Intel C++ is not faster than BCB
(but it is much more compliant and may produce
more performant code).
To make error messages more understandable try:
