Font sizes in TListView

Has anyone else noticed that font sizes of displayed text in list
views changes if the text is too long for the window? I am having to
implement code to truncate strings to avoid this happening.

FWIW it only seems to be an issue with NT4 and the later service
packs. Win2K appears to be immune from this.
