DesignIde60.bpl

I'd like to make a couple of third party packages legal, and
remove the need to ship DesignIde60.bpl with them after
having converted from Builder5. There are some vague
comments on this being possible by using IDesignerHook, but
no examples of how to do it.
Can anybody help with some ideas, or do I have to dive in
and split the source into designtime and runtime. I've done
that before, with kemMemtab, but FastReport and dbPlanner
are a bit more complex ;)

What is designide60.bpl?
A package for BCB6 which includes the IDE's design-time support code like
native property editors and such.
