(Part of my reasons for staying in these forums despite currently slowly
converting all my code away from BCB is that I still learn stuff here.

Visual C++, better ATL COM support and much greater stability.
(The latter is ironic because I first started using BCB because code I
had would crash the then VC++ compiler.)
