We had this problem while imigrating to Win2000.
We've solved it - don't remember how. Sorry.
Anyway - you should be able to open the project from within the IDE without
any problem.

I'm not sure but this could be the case when you load a script
like personal.spp in the IDE.
IIRC I had this problem and it was caused by this.
