Hi,
If i install a set of components then they work fine ... for me
however if i log on as a different user then they are not present.
How do i go about (presume it's an option tweak) setting builder
such that any components installed can be used by any user
logging onto the machine?
Thanks
Shaun

Re:Installed components

Shaun,
This is related more to Windows accounts than C++Builder itself. I
recommend trying the following first.
Login to Windows as the user where the C++Builder component palette displays
all components. Go into the Registry Editor and export this hive:
HKCU | Software | Borland | C++Builder | 6.0
Then, login as the user who cannot see all the components. Import the hive
that you exported above. Now see if the components appear in the IDE.
IMPORTANT:
When you login as the user where problems are occuring, be sure to backup
the existing HKCU | Software | Borland | C++Builder | 6.0 hive before doing
anything. This is just in case the above procedure causes any problems.
That way, you can revert to your original Registry settings.
If any of the above is unclear, please post here, and I will clarify.

Components are installed on a per-user basis. You have to install them
under each individual user account for Windows that you want them to be
available to.
