grayed controls

I suggest you use TMemo->Color when you disable the control. I do this some
times and change the background color to clSilver

Marci.

Some controls, like TMemo or TStringGrid, do not "gray" when disabled.

I think this derives from WinAPI behavior, but does anyone know how to do
this? or can suggest a way to clearly indicate to the user that the control
is not available -- yet still keep it visible?

Thanks in advance

Cheap solution:

  Memo1->Font->Color = clGrayText;
  Memo1->Color = clBtnFace;
