BCB 5 won't shut down

I converted from BCB3 to BCB5. So far all seems ok but on occasion when I exit
BCB5, the program appears to shut down but the icon remains in the task bar. If
I look in the task manager it says bcb5(not responding).

Doesn't happen all the time but enough to be annoying. Anyone else has anything
like this?

Running W98/128M.

Thanx,

Vic Baron

Yup.  Happens in Win2K as well.  I've just learned to live with it <sigh>.

Figures;-) Oh well, at least I don't have to tear my configuration apart looking
for a non existent conflict<G>.

I hardly ever have refuse completely to shut down, however patience is
definitely a virtue waiting for BCB to go away.

I posted the problem before and noone else seemed to have it.
The crash only happens if you are asked to save your changes and you click
on yes.
The workaround is to push the save project button before exiting the ide.

This is only one of many problems you speak of.  The problem you speak of is
the rarest of all IDE crashes I get.

Re:BCB 5 won't shut down

I get the priblem you are speaking of because I have Norton installed and
when I start BCB I change the default de{*word*81}. Occasionally, the windows
asks which software will be the debuffer once I shut down. Then I have
problems.
