Writing text across several cells in a StingGrid

Is there a way to write text across several cells in the FixedCols of a
StringGrid, omitting some (but not all) of the vertical lines?

You can do this by rendering the cells manually via the OnDrawCell event. You
can find some code examples of implementing a handler for this event here...
