How to use proxy???

I'm developing an app to manage FTP, HTTP, SMTP, IMAP and POP.. and in
home all goes well ... but in a company that uses proxy to connect to
internet and to send/recieve mails i have problems when app tryes to
conect to SMTP server or IMAP/POP server.
I have had read that with call under, app gets proxy config... it is true?
javaw -DsocksProxyHost=192.168.240.25 -DsocksProxyPort=8080 -classpath
".\Hermes.jar;" hermes.Start
where 192.168.240.25 is the IP and 8080 is the port for proxy.
Or .. how to do for components i use inside app use proxy?
I use: JavaMail to read IMAP/POP3
and Jakarta.Commons.Mail to send via SMTP

Re:How to use proxy???

I'm testing this solution:
System.getProperties().put("proxySet", "true");
System.getProperties().put("socksProxyPort", "1080");
System.getProperties().put("socksProxyHost", "69.70.71.72");
where "69.70.71.72" and "1080" are ip-address and port for proxy server.
