Modprobe doesn't work?

Hello,
I'm using Fedora 2 core updated and tried calling modprobe.
Doesn't work.
Tried as non root and as root, to no avail.
I have a standard installation and - to my knowledge -
modprobe should be in the path.
When I try calling it I get this message:
bash: modprobe: command not found
What can I do to solve this?
TIA,
Andrew

First, this has nothing to Kylix.
Second, modprobe can only be run as root.
Third, learn to use which, where, locate and find.
