A while back, a group called the "Blender Foundation" purchased the
intellectual property rights for a commercial application. The group
released it with great improvements as an open source application called
Blender 3D. The purchase price was $100,000. Borland, would you be willing
to set up some sort of arrangement like this?

if kylix were a "stand-alone" product they might.
it isn't - it is tightly integrated with Delphi, and probably shares much of the
same source code.
i don't think Borland will release the Delphi source code anytime soon.

Re:Kylix Foundation

Borland should just donate Kylix to Andy Hausladen. He's the
only guy seriously working on it.
