is there an Open Letter dedicated to Kylix Community?

Is there an open letter indicating the Kylix Future?
I'm working on a few OpenSource projects for Kylix Open.
But it would be nice to know some extra support from Borland. I believe that
Kylix C++ is gone (with the new C++ Builder X), but Kylix Delphi is
different, at least i believe on it.

Not really. But it's not looking too good for a next version of Kylix.

The only official words we've heard from Borland:
November 2003 (BorCon USA 2003), Simon Thornhill announced no
updates in 2004. See third paragraph of:
groups.google.com/groups
d.*&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&safe=off&selm=3fa7525b%40newsgroups.borland.c
om&rnum=1
Allen Bauer is Principal Architect for the "Delphi family",
including Kylix:
homepages.borland.com/dthorpe/blog/delphi/2004/06/be-careful-
what-you-wish-for.php
Kylix is still on a development schedule:
groups.google.com/groups&hl=
en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&safe=off&selm=3f13595b%241%40newsgroups.borland.com&
rnum=1
There's another one where Danny mentions it's on the three year
schedule.
As far as I know, there aren't any plans to give us a "formal
update" this year. I'd personally wait for Delphi 9 to come out,
or Christmas, then start asking for an update.

Which will be released a day before the Messiah comes.

Don't mean to offend, but you're being foolish.
Kylix was stupidly designed to be so tightly integrated
to long-obsolete specific versions of the WineLib and QT
libraries, that it would have to be totally redesigned.
Borland is obviously not up to that for an unsuccessful
product.

For (web) server applications, Kylix works just fine for me. And with
the CrossKylix plug-in for Delphi, I can even use the Delphi 7 IDE to
work on my projects, and compile them using the Kylix command-line
compiler (so I won't need to run the Kylix IDE itself).

I'm hoping for some work on supporting newer distros, and perhaps some
additions and updates for the database and server capabilities. That
shouldn't take too much time (I don't need a revamped IDE ;-)

I spent a lot of time learning Kylix when it first
came out, and although I've moved on to Java for any
work I do on Linux, I'm very glad that some people are
still finding it useful.
But Bob, if Borland gave you a box of cowshit, wouldn't you
find something to love about it? "This wonderful-smelling
box of cowshit can be used to fertilize my flowers and at
the same time attract the best flies in Holland! I am
very impressed and use it every day!"

But I have only need of a little bit of cowshit. Which is the reason why
I don't use everything from Borland - there's just too much. I don't use
JBuilder anymore for example (but I still use Delphi, C++Builder, Kylix,
C#Builder and Delphi for .NET).
My wife loves the flowers, but I go for the fruits - things you can eat!

Have you got a soap datamodule working as a DSO on apache 1.3.31 on redhat 9? Mine just seg faults apache when it tries to start.
On redhat 7.2 with apache 1.3.27 it seg faults when it gets busy but will at least start and service requests.
